Dr Praser is moving from Gordon Clinic to his own telepsychiatry practice. Your patience is appreciated during this transition. All appointments will be via telehealth; no face-to-face appointments are currently available. His Gordon calendar will be migrated over and appointment times remain the same. He is happy to continue seeing his existing patients. However, if you are on stable dose of stimulants, you are invited to consider GP continuation prescribing.Confirmation email and SMS with the new telehealth link will be sent prior to your appointment. You will also receive a form to update payment details as these cannot be transferred from Gordon. Please be advised that fees are increasing by $50 due to a rise in practice running costs.

Telehealth instructions

All appointments are telehealth consultations. No face-to-face appointments are available at this time. Initial appointments must be via video, while review appointments are either video or phone.Telehealth has limitations compared with in-person consultations, including potential technical difficulties and limits to physical examination. Telehealth is not suitable for emergencies. If you require urgent assistance, please call 000.

Video

Video is the preferred modality. You will be sent a link to the virtual waiting room prior to your appointment. Please arrive 5 minutes early and ensure a secure internet connection as well as a quiet, private location where your confidentiality can be maintained. The video link will be accessible via internet browser, on a mobile or desktop, and does not require any downloads. If the video connection fails, the consultation may continue by telephone where possible.

Phone

Dr Praser will ring your mobile number at the appointed time. Please ensure a quiet, private environment and endeavour to be in an area with good mobile reception

Confirmation

SMS reminders are sent approximately 2-3 days prior to appointments. To secure your appointment please reply to the SMS with ‘Y’ as soon as possible. Unconfirmed appointments may be cancelled.

Appointment arrival & cancellation

Please arrive 5 minutes early for your appointment to avoid reduced time with Dr Praser. A late arrival will result in shortened consultation. If you are more than 15 minutes late, Dr Praser may not be able to accommodate the appointment due to other patients waiting. In such cases, the appointment will be considered a no-show and the associated fee will be charged. If you are unable to attend your appointment, please provide at least 48 hours’ notice. Late cancellations or non-attendance may incur a cancellation fee to cover the reserved appointment time. We will endeavour to work with you to rebook a suitable appointment where possible but this cannot be guaranteed.

Followups

It is the patient’s responsibility to schedule a follow-up appointment well in advance to avoid long waiting times. We suggest that you book your next appointment at the time of your current appointment.Return to top
